Bukowski Tavern in Boston and Cambridge is hosting the annual "Pint And The Pen" writing contest, sponsored by Harpoon Brewery and the Weekly Dig. Entries are open to anyone, but you must make an appearance in person, so you will probably need to be in the area.1st Prize: $2,500 cash money
2nd Prize: $1,000 cash money
3rd Prize: A set of steak knives!
Here are the rules:
- All entries MUST be typed, or the judges won't read them.
- All entries must include the word PINT, the word PEN, the name BUKOWSKI, and the name HARPOON.
- The word count must be between 500 and 750 words.
- All entries become property of Bukowski Tavern.
- You must be 21 or over to enter.
- All entries must be submitted at either Bukowski Tavern location. You must fill out and attach an entry form, available at both Bukowski locations and online here [ignore anything that tells you that the deadline was in January; it was extended to March for better media attention].
- Email and fax entries will NOT be accepted.
- Employees are NOT eligible.
