WEEKLY BLOG SIDEBAR FEATURES

As part of wanting to keep you coming back each week to see what's new [new items may be posted daily], we have added two features to this blog that will be updated weekly: an art of the week feature and a profile revolutionary of the week spot along our information-laden side panel.

The art of the week spot will feature a different piece of art each week, the piece's title, the artist, and where to go to find out more information about the artist. This profile feature will change every Wednesday. To be considered for this space, email us one piece of art, the title, the artist's name, and any links that go along with that art or artist. Because we are not selling the artwork, you may submit work you admire by others, and it doesn't have to be your original work; it does, however, need to be works from the underground or contemporary probably-lesser-known art. We aren't going to feature Monet or Van Gogh or Renoir.

The profile revolutionary spot will feature a different personal profile each week of a person who is doing something artistic, social/political, or scientific to help better the world in an awesome way. The profile will feature a short blurb about the person and where to go to find out more information about the individual or the project. This profile feature will change every Friday. If you would like to be considered, or you know of someone who should be considered, email us with a short blurb, the person's name, the project's name, and any links that go along with that person or project. Think outside the box on this one: s/he doesn't have to be your run-of-the-mill typical artist to be considered.
