BEST INDIE CAR FILM EVER: CLUTCH

Jay Rowlands, Captain Awesome of Renegade Productions, has created an indie film called CLUTCH that is being hailed as The Most Driven Car Film Ever Made. Clutch is an independent feature film that follows the story of a small town race driver and his single-minded passion for racing. Shot in Seattle and Washington State, the film features numerous classic muscle cars of the past as well as a return to ‘old school’ automotive stuntwork. Tico Romao is Director of Studies of Media Production at the University of Gloucestershire in England. In addition, he is coordinator of the Viewfinder Film Festival, and website administrator for www.varaces.com, which has the largest database of car chase and auto racing films on the Internet. He is also a specialist on car films and has published Guns and Gas: Investigating the 1970's Car Chase Film which appears in the edited collection, Action and Adventure Cinema by Yvonne Tasker (ed.) .
